Cusco - Archaeological Center of Tipon
Tipon was a great sanctuary where the Incas worshiped the water. The complex hydraulic engineering system to move groundwater or springs was cataloged as a marvel by the American Society of Civil Engineering.
Tipon is classified as the only Inca complex that is still in perfect working order and contains Inca enclosures, platforms, terraces and irrigation works.
Archaeological Center of Pikillaqta
Pikillacta is located on the slopes of Wayllonqa hill, it is an ancient pre-Inca city. It contains empty streets, squares of giant areas, two-story palaces and multi-family dwellings.
Pikillaqra is a sign of a great civilization, recognized for its extraordinary planning capacity of cities, surrounded by what were once ancient aristocratic villages. Pikillaqqta is considered among the most important tourist places of Cusco.
Church of San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas
Considered as the Sistine Chapel of America. It is part of the Andean Baroque Route, created by the World Monuments Fund.
Formerly the town was called Antahuaylla, which means Prairie Cobriza, has a pleasant climate and colonial architecture.
The Church of San Pedro Apóstol was built on an Inca temple, with the aim of Christian indoctrination and idealization. In its interior are Inca constructions and diverse murals that cover the entire surface of the church roof, paintings, silversmiths in silver, altars baroque, canvases of the Escuela Cusqueña, etc. For all this it is called The Sistine Chapel of America.
Our tour ends in Regocijo Square, downtown.
