Machu Picchu Opening Times
There are two visiting hours, the first shift starts at 06:00 and the second starts at noon, each shift has a limit of 2500 people. The entrance time to the Mountain and Huayna Picchu are only in the mornings, remember to book your tickets in advance to choose a convenient entry time to the citadel of Machu Picchu and one of its mountains.

Recomendations
- Get some water and meal in Machu Picchu Town, The Citadel of Machu Picchu is a small area but hot.
- Water and Food are sold outside the citadel but They are very expensive.
- If you chose the first shift and still wish to stay in the citadel but you need to get water and food try to do it before noon to re-enter.
- You can travel by bus or walk to the entrance gate of the citadel.
- We recommend wake up early to get the first bus to the citadel and avoid the long rows.
- It is better to spend your energies walking and enjoying the tour inside the citadel than going up on foot.

Recommendations
- The guided tour in Machu Picchu and ascent the Huayna Picchu mountain will take about 4 hours approximately , for this reason, We recommend you start your visit to Machu Picchu as early as possible.
- Anyone over 12 years old can visit the mountain, however, if you suffer vertigo or cardiovascular disease we recommend to book and ascent The Machu Picchu Mountain.

Recommendations

Museum
Visiting the Site Museum will offer a wide panorama about the history of Machu Picchu, the museum is open from 09:00 hours. You can visit the museum before or after your tour in the citadel, this will depend on the time of entry you have chosen.
The Museum of the site is open from 09:00 to 16:30 hours.The high season starts in May and ends in August, remember to book your tours and entrance tickets on time, in this way you can visit the most popular places in Machu Picchu.
