    1st Day

    Cusco - Hidroelectrica - Aguas Calientes Town

    After 5 hours of bus travel, we will arrive at the town of Santa María, where we'll take a break and have lunch. The journey to the Hidroeléctrica Bus Station continues on an unpaved road from this village. The hike to the town of Aguas Calientes starts from the Hidroeléctrica Bus Station and takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. The route is straightforward and mostly runs alongside the train tracks. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes town, at approximately 5:30 PM, the accommodation staff will be waiting for you. The establishment is good and the staff friendly; in the evening, our guide will provide an informative dinner briefing about the next day's excursion.

    2nd Day

    Machu Picchu - Hidroelectrica - Cusco

    Dear traveler, on this day and depending on the season, we will wake up very early, at 4:30 AM. After breakfast, we will head to the bus station to board the first buses to the Machu Picchu citadel. The buses are operational from 5:20 AM. Our guide will be waiting for you and the rest of the group at the access gate. The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours. The time spent in the park will depend on the season and the chosen route.

    Shared guiding is only permitted on Circuit 2 and its routes 2A and 2B; on the other circuits and their routes, guiding is private.

    Upon returning to town after your visit, you will have enough time to rest in the hotel lobby while waiting for the train boarding time. We recommend that you arrive at the train station 30 minutes before departure. The train journey from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo station takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the station, our staff will be waiting for you for a bus journey back to the city of Cusco.

    The arrival time in the city of Cusco will depend on train ticket availability.
